PJD sells its stake in HZI-PJD

In April 2019, PJD entered into a Joint Venture with Hitachi Zosen Inova (HZI), combining our repair & maintenance experience with HZI’s build & service expertise in the UK Energy from Waste sector.

HZI has now exercised its option to acquire PJD’s shares in the JV & will now be operating under ‘HZI Service Limited’.

PJD will focus on delivering fully independent mechanical and pressure part solutions across the UK energy sector, encompassing Gas, EfW, Biomass, Chemical, Petro-Chem, Water Waste, Paper & Cement. Project Director Mat Warwick will be the principal point of contact for the EfW and Biomass markets.

Managing Director, David Hayle, stated: “Since the HZI-PJD JV was first formed in 2019, we have been actively involved in mechanical and pressure part work on the majority of HZI installed waste lines in the UK. This is vital for keeping EfW plants operating efficiently, safely and reliably year on year. The change in ownership of the JV is both representative of this success and a logical next step.”

Neil Buckland, Service Director of HZI, added: “HZI Service Limited recognises the need to continuously adapt, ensuring that we’re able to meet and exceed the technical and operational requirements at the growing fleet of EfW facilities in the UK – which includes Operational and Maintenance Support offering to new and existing plants”

Both PJD & HZI will continue to work closely together, building upon the strong relationships already forged at all levels, both internally within HZI/PJD and externally with their valued clients.
