Apprentice Spotlight
PJD would like to highlight the hard work & dedication of our second year QA Apprentice, Arjun Kang.
Since joining in October 2020, Arjun has had the opportunity to work on various projects around the UK alongside his mentor, developing visual weld inspection skills, liaising with NDT subcontractors to ensure all welds meet industry standards, monitoring consumables along with producing documentation for pressure works.
Arjun reflected on his role so far stating: “The depth of practical experience I have gained on a range of sites has really helped put the theory I have learnt into perspective. A breakthrough moment in QA for me was while working for a client in the North West in September 2021 – this was the first time I really felt confident in supporting the QA on a small project. I look forward to gaining more practical experience in this year’s Outage season helping me prepare for my approaching CWSIP 3.1 Exam.”
RWC Engineer, Nick Jones, comments: “Arjun is progressing very well and takes a keen interest in his work. He is working hard to complete his college modules as well as familiarizing himself with all the relevant welding codes and standards we are required to work with. He has proven able to work using his own initiative on small projects with remote technical support. We are very pleased with his progress and look forward to his continuing development in the role”
We are very pleased with Arjuns progress and look forward to his continuing development in the role. Keep up the good work!
